Upgrading to an M1 Macbook Pro
My husband got a new work computer which means I get to use his old one. This is my first ever non-air Macbook.
I think the hardest part of moving to a new device is having to log back into everything. I have no fewer than seven active email accounts. Logging back into Discord. Logging back into Spotify. Installing Audible. Installing the mp3 codec for Audible. Adding the printers. Remaking my RSS feed setup in Thunderbird. But I got it all finished up.
My phone is now full of "someone logged in at XYZ, was it you?" notifications. But now I can see everything, and all my apps load properly. The old laptop was an Intel Macbook Air, and I was using my gaming PC from 2014 for stuff as well so yes, even though the M1 came out a while ago, this in indeed a much needed upgrade.
Tomorrow I will scape up some stickers to put on it.
