Back From The Beach

We took a last second trip 5 hours to the coast this weekend. We left Saturday and got back today, kids start school this week so it was their one real adventure for the summer. Stayed with my sister at her husband's family bay house.

The kids love the beach and it was actually really nice out this time because it wasn't 109 degrees in the sun and there was a cool breeze. We were able to actually enjoy being outside instead of sweltering under umbrellas and going out to the water to cool off.

I always go to La Kings to get candy, then Play on the Strand to get Japanese cat pens (I get new ones every time I visit, I know they are 2 bucks on Amazon but I like to get them here.), then just walk around whatever else has popped up since the last time I've visited. This time it had been over 5 years so quite a bit had changed. We went Maceo to get sauce and seasoning, to Red Light coffee, and to Katie's Seafood Market to get some fish for dinner.

On the way back to the bay house we found a little comic book shop that I hadn't noticed before and took a look inside: 6DB646D7-C182-4B97-837D-4C1B800FF516

It was a proper comic book store too. There were 3 isles just like this one with rows and rows of long boxes with every issue of everything. They didn't have any cards save for a few graded thins in a display cabinet. But this is the type of shop I'd like to run one day. A proper comic and collectible shop with everything on display.

When I win the lottery I'll be able to invest in a comic shop. :)
